The SGA is composed of several distinct committees that are responsible for different aspects and jobs of the overall SGA. All senators are assigned to a committee where they are collaborating on the particular role of that group. Executive council oversees the work of all the committees and help coordinate the efforts of the entire SGA assembly. These are the main groups among which the SGA members are assigned:
The Executive Council coordinates and distributes the necessary tasks within the Student Government Association. The Executive Council is responsible for adherence to the SGA constitution by the Student Government Association, they represent the Student Government Association to the administration, and are the directing board of SGA general assembly meetings. Each EC member has his or her own respective role and tasks, which enable specific focus to be placed upon the most important aspects of Student Government. The President and Vice-President are elected by the student body, while the Secretary, Treasurer, and Technology Coordinator are selected by the Student Senate of SGA
The Budgeting Committee oversees issues relating to the student fee treasury. We are also responsible for slating all business concerning the allocation and distribution of student fees and assisting organizations in the allocation process. Our goals for the year are to maintain strong relations with the organizations on Drury that request funds and strive towards sound decisions that will most benefit the student body.
SGA Public Relations Committee
The purpose of the SGA Public Relation Committee is to promote the events and ideas of SGA in an efficient manner so that all students are informed.
The Student Affairs Committee addresses the issues and concerns of the student body to improve student life on Drury's Campus. This is done by forming liaisons with all documented student organizations, and increasing communications between the students, faculty, and staff.
The Technology Committee provides technological support for student and staff/faculty alike. We work closely with the technology office on campus and help provide technological advancements to the entire campus in an ever changing environment.
SGA Academic Affairs Committee
The Academic Affairs Committee addresses major academic problems on campus. We try to recognise these problems and bring them up to the Drury Faculty. We work closely with Drury Academic Affairs Committee and other groups on campus to make Drury a good learning experience for the students.
Senior members of SGA work closely with the Senior Class President to plan and arrange graduation in May. Duties include working with administration to choose an appropriate guest commencement speaker, as well as a student speaker. The organization of class meetings, selection of a class gift, and the planning of the senior banquet all fall to the Senior Class President and their committee.

Student Government has started the year of with a Retreat where we have discussed the plan for this year, and many pressing issues that arose during the summer.
